They often say capturing the perfect picture is all about being in the right place at the right time.

And this was certainly the case for Sue Jarvis from Merry Hill, Finchfield, when she caught the moment a Robin was looking at its own reflection in her car mirror.

It was so impressive in fact that it has won the Express & Star's December's Star Witness picture of the month, warranting a prize of £100.

Mrs Jarvis, who took the photo on her Panasonic Lumix GX7, is a passionate photographer and captured the occasion when she noticed the Robin had formed it's territory in her garden.

She has been responding to chemotherapy treatment recently and said the bird has been a 'constant companion' while she had been ill.

"Sometime before October time, somebody noticed this Robin one morning," she said.

"It started looking in at the window I thought he looking at me but he was looking at the reflection.

"Any reflection that he saw he would have a go at, he's been quite entertaining.

"We called him Arnie because he was like Arnold Schwarzenegger and would always be back.

"It's wonderful and lovely to know to have your work recognized. I am delighted and will be sharing my winnings with my family and continue to take photos."
