Cradley Heathens reveal Golden Hammer line-up

Cradley Heathens have stepped up preparations for the 2019 F.A.S.T Golden Hammer by announcing a strong line-up for the event that takes place on Monday, October 28 (7.30pm).

The traditional individual meeting is one of the longest running in British speedway with 12 riders doing battle over 15 heats (plus Grand Final) in order to bring the curtain down on a memorable 2019 campaign.

Wolverhampton will once again host the event for a 10th successive season and the work of Dudley Stroke Association is being promoted through the F.A.S.T message – face, arms, speech, time.

Four Anchor Logistics Heathens riders will compete with another two standing by at reserve. Former Heathens Nathan Greaves and Tom Perry are also involved with Leicester’s Thompson twins, Dan and Joe, eager to impress the Monmore faithful.

Heathens boss Will Pottinger said: “This should be a great night of racing to bring the curtain down on the season.

“The line-up is great and naturally Max Clegg, our brilliant skipper, will be keen to win the prestigious Hammer.”

Supporters are reminded that season tickets are not valid for this meeting – but normal admission prices apply.

A bumper souvenir programme will be available, priced at just £4 on entry.

LINE-UP (Not in riding order): Max Clegg, Jack Smith, Dan Halsey, Luke Harris (All Cradley), Nathan Stoneman (Kent), Joe Lawlor (Stoke), Ben Morley (Isle of Wght), Tom Perry (Stoke), Danny Phillips (Belle Vue), Dan Thompson, Joe Thompson (Both Leicester), Nathan Greaves (Redcar).

Reserves: Harry McGurk and Tom Spencer (Both Cradley).
