A resounding 5-0 win against Coventry Sphinx on Saturday left Ian Rowe’s side sitting pretty at the top of the Premier Division as they head to South Normanton Athletic tonight.

“We have done OK so far,” said Rowe. “It was a good performance on Saturday and they can have no complaints about the result.

“But tonight will be our toughest of the season. It’s the first time we have played on grass this season and they will be confident having picked up a good result at Romulus at the weekend.”

Dan Westwood will be leading Khalsa’s push for victory with the prolific striker in good nick having taken his tally to the season to six with a hat-trick on Saturday.

AFC Wulfrunians host Romulus this evening looking to build on Saturday’s dramatic victory at home to Long Eaton United.

Wulfs ran out 6-4 winners in a thrilling clash having trailed 3-2 at half-time.

Jumaane Meggoe was the hero for Wulfs with a hat-trick with two goals from Angelo Franco and one from Ben Jeavons helping clinch the win.
