Rui Patricio 6

Has not kept a clean sheet in the league since the 2-0 win over West Ham in December. Not his fault for the goals but could he have done more to help ease the shakiness at the back in the first half? He should be able to bring calm to that back three.

Leander Dendoncker 5

A really poor first-half showing from the Belgian but better in the second 45. Failed to clear the set-piece for the first goal and should not have let Long get ahead of him for the second goal. Needs to improve defensively and be more aware of his positioning.

Conor Coady 6

Did a good job of limiting the in-form Ings' chances but like Patricio, he needs to organise and bring calm to that back line. But both did that in the closing stages to help Wolves secure the victory. Like the rest of the side, an improved second 45.

Romain Saiss 6

Like all of the defence not a great showing in the first half. But he improved in the second half when Wolves settled down. Showed his versatility again when he pushed back up into midfield when Wolves adapted to hold on to the lead.

Matt Doherty 5

Looked tired and lethargic in the first half and struggled to build up a relationship with Neto when he was in front of him on that right flank. Improved in the second 45 when he could link-up with Traore more. Definitely in need of a rest.

Ruben Neves 7

It was another real gritty midfield performance by the midfielder, put the tackles in and kept Wolves going in the engine room. Stepped up a gear in the second half when Wolves switched formation to move Neto just in front of him and Moutinho.

Joao Moutinho 7

Some younger members of this Wolves crop have looked tired in recent week but he seems to run off Duracell batteries. Like Neves he did not stop running in that engine room. The duo improved in the second half with that 3-4-1-2 formation.

Jonny Castro-Otto 6

The Southampton goals both came from his left flank. Like Doherty with Neto, I do not think he blended well with Traore in front of him but a much improved second half. He also had a big impact attacking wise, winning the penalty that saw Wolves draw level.

Pedro Neto 9

Always trying to create in that first half and found that all-important end product in the second 45. He gave Wolves a new dimension playing in the pocket between midfield and attack. It did not just allow him to make his mark on the game but freed the others.

Raul Jimenez 9

He looked tired again in the first half but  was unstoppable in the second half. He revelled in a front two with Traore, the use of Neto just behind gave the duo the space they had lacked in the first 45. Cool as a cucumber with both goals. What a striker.

Adama Traore 9

He was a threat on the left and right of a front three but Southampton could not handle him in a front two with Jimenez. The role gave him the freedom to find the gaps and use his pace to get in behind. Showed all of his qualities pace, endeavor and nous to set-up the winner.

Subs: Kilman on for Neto 86, 6: Helped bring some calm when Southampton pressed for a late leveller.
