John Ruddy

Wanted to do better than he did against Villa in the Carabao Cup – and he did. Not tested massively, but Ruddy dealt with everything that came his way. 7

Ryan Bennett

Good to see Bennett back out there after missing the best part of two months with a groin problem. He was calm on the ball and solid when called upon. 7

Conor Coady

Kept Besiktas striker Nayir quiet and was, as ever, vocal throughout. His leadership qualities helped when Wolves had Perry and Otasowie in midfield towards the end. 7

Max Kilman

Seems to be growing in confidence and was seen taking on players and passing with precision while continuing to do the basics well. Got a booking for a late challenge, but he did well overall. 7

Oskar Buur

Making his first appearance for the senior side since scoring against Hull in the Championship promotion season, Buur was not troubled by Boyd. He then got forward more in the second half, and he came up with a superb cross for Jota to finish at the far post for his hat-trick. 8

Leander Dendoncker

Deserved his goal after hitting the woodwork twice and misguiding a header from close range. After Jota's introduction, the Belgian was determined to get on the scoresheet and was a massive threat breaking forward from midfield. Has been playing at centre-half as of late, of course, but Dendoncker reminded fans of his qualities in the middle of the park. 8

Ruben Neves

Never really got into the game. Did not play particularly badly but did not influence proceedings hugely either. Had a couple of shots from long range. 6

Joao Moutinho

Moutinho kept things ticking over nicely in the middle of the park until going off with 20 minutes to go. 7

Ruben Vinagre

Vinagre had some nice touches – a series of step-overs setting up a chance for Cutrone, who was flagged offside, in the first half – and got forward on a fair few occasions. 7

Patrick Cutrone

Did not come off for him in front of goal but Cutrone played his part in the opener with a lovely flick to release Neto and worked his socks off throughout. 7

Pedro Neto

Did not get into the game all that much in the first half, but after Jota came on, Neto looked a different player. Did very well to break free from a few Besiktas shirts to set up Jota for the first goal, and then carried the ball coolly. 8

Diogo Jota (for Neves, 57)

The perfect showing from the substitute. What more could you ask for? The game was desperate for an injection of life and Jota provided it – and then some. Not only did he shine, but he brought out the best in those around him. After grabbing a brace at Brighton, Jota was utterly ruthless in front of goal and got himself a hat-trick in a stunning 11 minutes. In terms of what you want from a player coming off the bench, it does not get better than this. 10

Taylor Perry (for Moutinho, 70)

Composed in midfield as Wolves saw out a comfortable win. 7

Owen Otasowie (for Dendoncker, 72)

Almost got himself a goal as his header clipped the crossbar and went over. 7
