Nuno Espirito Santo was delighted with the application put in by Wolves at Brighton – and Seagulls boss Graham Potter was impressed with them too.

Nuno's side were not at their best, but they managed to make it 11 unbeaten in the Premier League by drawing 2-2 at the Amex Stadium.

Diogo Jota was at the double while Brighton were briefly in front after scoring twice in two minutes through Neal Maupay and Davy Propper.

"It was, like we expected, a very tough game. But it was a good game," said Nuno.

"It was emotional, entertaining – both teams really wanted to go and score.

"There was always spaces and situations.

"We played good, with some mistakes. We did a very good momentum in the first half, to score.

"But the mistake happened. We didn't defend so well, Brighton reacted. They're a good team.

"But we got, again, to the draw. The second half, both teams wanted to break each other, trying to play their football.

"We finished on the front foot, so I'm proud of the way the players keep going until the end. I think we finished the game on the front foot."

The goals Wolves conceded were cheap, as Rui Patricio was beaten at his near post by Maupay, who latched onto a long ball over the top of the defence.

Propper then headed in, unmarked, right afterwards.

"I'm always disappointed when we make mistakes. It's a mistake to analyse," said Nuno.

"Let's try not to repeat this one, but there will be another one eventually.

"I'll never be disappointed in the way the players are working. It can only make us proud."

Potter, meanwhile, had kind words for Wolves – and Adama Traore in particular.

"They're 11 games unbeaten in the Premier League, and you can see why," said Potter.

"They're so hard to break down in midfield, and Ruben Neves is some player.

"Then, Traore is pretty much unplayable on the break.

"I can see why they're up there. Traore is a worry. Our lads did their best, but sometimes you have to give credit to the attacking player."
