West Brom hand professional deals to academy products
A number of Albion’s promising youngsters have signed their first professional contracts.
Six academy graduates have agreed one-year deals with a further 12-month option in the club’s favour.
Finn Azaz, 18, Jack Chambers, 19, Nick Clayton-Phillips, 19, Dan Meredith, 19, and Sam Wilding, 19, have all joined George Harmon, 18, in signing professional deals.
Goalkeeper Brad House, 20, has also agreed a new one-year contract following Alex Palmer's season-long loan move to Plymouth Argyle.
Azaz and Harmon were part of the under-18s side that reached the FA Youth Cup semi-final last season.
The majority of that crop have already been retained at the club this summer and some of them have already signed professional contracts.
Defender Nathan Ferguson, 18, and forwards Rayhaan Tulloch, 18, and Jamie Soule, 18, have all already signed pro deals that are due to run out next summer.
However, Louie Barry, 16, has left for Barcelona and Morgan Rogers, 16, has joined Manchester City.
The Baggies have also officially confirmed the signing of 17-year-old forward Owen Windsor from Cirencester Town.
The teenager, who also interested Bristol City, signed a two-year deal with a further 12-month option in the club’s favour.
James Morrison, who was released at the end of the season, is currently training with Albion's under-23s to keep himself fit.
