The Boro were behind for just three minutes with Bradley Grayson pulling his side level following a well worked goal.

Evan Garnett almost gave Rangers a 35th minutes lead, but his attempt was made by a Kieran Preston save.

On the 39th minute Basford were back ahead with James Reid firing his effort into the top corner of the net.

The hosts continued to press in the second half and goalkeeper Lewis King charged off his line to deny James Richards a chance at goal.

Rangers responded and Josh Green saw his effort beat the goalkeeper, only to be denied by the post.
