Jonathan Letford strikes late as Rushall Olympic stun Walsall

Jonathan Letford scored a dramatic stoppage-time winner as Rushall Olympic ousted a Walsall XI in the first round of the Birmingham Senior Cup at Dales Lane last night.

Letford, the Pics’ top scorer, rounded the goalkeeper to score in the third minute of injury time after Sam Whittall’s earlier goal had been cancelled out by Luke Pearce.

Stafford Rangers thumped the RAF Representative XI 6-2 in the second round of the Walsall Senior Cup, with Jake Charles (two), Dan Burns (two), Sam Coulson and Jaiden White on target.

Halesowen Town’s Southern Central One trip to Daventry Town and Hednesford Town’s Staffordshire Senior Cup clash with Tamworth were postponed.
