Kings Langley 4 Rushall Olympic 0 - Report

It was an afternoon to forget for The Pics as we slipped to a 4-0 defeat at Kings Langley.

The home side came out of the blocks with real purpose and Jon Flatt had to be alert to make a smart save as they broke through in the opening exchanges.

Their pressure finally told in the seventh minute when Connolly saw his strike take a deflection on its way over Flatt’s reach to open the scoring.

In the wake of the goal, The Pics started to see more of the ball without hurting our hosts and just past the half-hour mark we fell further behind when Callam Mendez-Jones conceded a penalty which Ward converted straight down the middle to make it 2-0.

The home side further extended their lead just before half-time when Coldicott-Stevens curled home to complete a first half to forget for The Pics.

New loan signing, Kyle Finn, went close early in the second half as we looked for a way back into the game following a triple half-time.

Finn went close again after good work from Eesa Sawyers in the build-up whilst Farrell fired over for the home side at the other end.

Some sharp link-up play between Jonathan Letford and Sawyers ended with the latter denied by some good defending.

A disappointing afternoon ended with Collier adding a fourth goal in the final minute.
