Chester, managed by former Salford City duo Anthony Johnson and Bernard Morley, are flying high in third in National North, one tier above Hednesford.

Halesowen Town will fancy themselves to upset the odds again with a first round tie at National North strugglers Bradford Park Avenue.

The Yeltz, of Southern Central One, secured their place at this stage by already seeing off a step two side, with a stunning 1-0 victory over Gateshead on Saturday.

Stourbridge can yet confirm their place in the first round by seeing off South Shields in tonight’s clash at Amblecote.

The Glassboys came through a second qualifying round replay on Saturday. Either Stour or South Shields will welcome Southport in round one.

First round ties will be played on Saturday, December 14.
