After securing their league safety on Easter Monday a bullish Rangers side started well and Joe Cuff went close to opening the scoring.

Matlock responded with Marcus Marshall going close before moments later the striker latched onto a long ball and beat Adam Siviter to put his side into a 33rd minute lead.

The Boro similarly took advantage of the windy conditions and were level three minutes later when a ball over the top was put home by captain Ben Mills.

On the 39th minute Rangers took the lead after a quick attack resulted in Andrew Haworth driving home his deflected effort.

Rangers started the second half how they finished the first with Sam Coulson volleying home after the 48th minute.

Despite Matlock having decent spells of possession any doubt was settled four minutes from time when Haworth lobbed the goalkeeper before the post denied him his hat-trick moments later.
