Man seriously injured as car hits wall

A man was seriously injured when a car crashed into a wall in Wyre Forest in the early hours of this morning.

West Midlands Ambulance was called to the scene in Lower Park, Bewdley, at 2:10am

Emergency services were called to Lower Park in Bewdley shortly after 2.10am.

A man was taken to hospital in a serious condition with multiple injuries, while the driver of the car, a woman, was treated for potentially serious injuries.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "Crews arrived to find two patients, one of whom, a man, was in a serious condition having suffered multiple injuries in the incident.

“He received specialist trauma care at the scene and once his condition had been stabilised, he was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital on blue lights and sirens.

"The doctor travelled with the patient to help continue treatment on the way to hospital.

“The driver of the car, a woman, was treated for potentially serious injuries and taken to the same hospital for further assessment.”

Two ambulances, a paramedic officer and a MERIT trauma doctor were sent to the scene.
