An application has been submitted to Walsall Council for 54 age-restricted retirement apartments, the refurbishment of a house into eight apartments, two houses and two 'units' on land off Little Aston Road, Aldridge.

In the plans it says: "The site is currently owned by the Metropolitan Borough of Walsall and the Masonic Lodge.

"The Manor House was previously occupied by the council as a Youth Development Centre and is now in temporary residential use."

The retirement apartments will be for people aged 70 and over.

Walsall Council will consider the plans in the coming months.
