Four cows stuck in Stafford slurry
Four cows were rescued by firefighters after becoming stuck in a slurry in Stafford.
Three fire crews and an animal rescue unit from Cannock were sent to the scene to rescue the animals in Hanyards Lane today.
Crews from Newcastle, Stafford and Leek along with the specialist animal rescue Unimog from Cannock helped with the rescue.
Three of the animals were able to free themselves, say Staffordshire Fire Service.
Firefighters worked to save the fourth with the help of the farm.

Lauren Jeal, spokeswoman for Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, said: "The service was called to Hanyards Lane at 11.40am today. Crews from Leek, Cannock Stafford and Newcastle attended along with animal rescue unimog and water rescue team.
"Four cows had gotten stuck in the slurry of water, three were walked out of the water but another one had to be rescued by firefighters wearing dry suits and life jackets using the animal rescue equipment. It was lifted out and left in the care of the farmer.
"They’ve now left the scene."
Crews used a raft to help reach the cow.
A rope was used to help pull the animal from the murky water.
Staffordshire Fire Service tweeted: "It appears the cows broke the fencing to go an adventure. Thankfully they're well."
