Now South Staffordshire Coroner Andrew Haigh has been notified of Mr Scattergood's death and has confirmed his name ahead of an inquest being opened.

Police have said previously that there were no suspicious circumstances.

A full inquest will be held soon, to establish the circumstances surrounding Mr Scattergood's death.

Police, paramedics and the and fire service descended on Eccleshall Road close to the cemetery at around 6.45am on the morning of the accident.

And health and safety inspectors from Staffordshire County Council have been visiting to assess the safety of the area.

Part of the Isabel Trail still remains closed to the public in the meantime.
