Two women taken to hospital after crash in Brocton

Two women were rescued by firefighters and taken to hospital after a crash in Brocton.

The two-car crash happened on Brocton Crescent just before 2pm today.

Fire crews and paramedics were called to the scene and two women were taken to hospital.

Firefighters made the area safe.

The extent of their injuries is not known.

A tweet from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews from# Stafford and #Cannock have rescued two female casualties following a collision involving two vehicles in #Brocton.

"Both women were left in the care of the ambulance service while firefighters continued to make the area safe. @OFFICIALWMAS."
