Owners of Halesowen business hit by fire thank firefighters

The owners of a Halesowen business hit by a "devastating" fire have thanked firefighters for their hard work.

More than 40 firefighters tackled the blaze at Solutions Acrylic & Display Limited in Halesowen on Saturday.

It is believed the fire began in a laser cutting machine at the plastics manufacturer.

Solutions Acrylic & Display's main building was left gutted but the members of staff inside were safely evacuated and nobody is believed to have been injured.

No other businesses were caught up in the flames.

The fire devastated the factory unit in Halesowen

A spokesman for the company posted on Facebook thanking firefighters and the business community as they make plans for the future.

The post said said: "We at Solutions Acrylic & Display Ltd would like to extend our sincere thanks to West Midlands Fire Service for their prompt action, guidance and professionalism in what has been a devastating 24 hours in our 26-year small business history.

"All crews in attendance were as expected, caring, professional ans a credit to the West Midlands Fire Service.

"We would also like to offer our thanks to our neighbouring and the wider business community for their support, offers of help, tea and use of facilities both Saturday and going forward.

"We are so very grateful for all your support. We already have plans in place to achieve a swift return to normality and will be restructuring our print factory in the interim to help us achieve this."
