Northwood Park Primary School, in Collingwood Road, Bushbury, is taking action against the decision made by the Standards and Testing Agency.

The school was average when compared to national results in progress in reading, above average in writing, and the data was not available for maths.

A spokesman for the school said: “The school insists that the decision to annul its Key Stage 2 maths Sats results is entirely wrong and it has commenced legal action against the Standards and Testing Agency.

“The action is ongoing so it would be inappropriate for the school to comment further at present.”

Last year the school’s maths progress results were average and the year before they were above averaxge.

The Standards and Testing Agency has been approached for comment.
