Man in court for murder of Rezwan Ali two years on from stabbing

A West Bromwich man has appeared in court charged with murdering student Rezwan Ali at a house party in Walsall more than two years ago.

Mr Ali, 19, was knifed when a fight broke out at a house in Willows Road at around 1.45am on January 14, 2018.

He suffered a knife wound to his chest and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Rajan Natt, 20, was charged with Mr Ali's murder on Thursday night and appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court on Friday.

Natt, of Castle Street, Hill Top, was remanded in custody to appear before Birmingham Crown Court on Tuesday, January 28.

He entered no plea to the charge of murder during his appearance at Birmingham Magistrates Court.

Five others who were also arrested on suspicion of murder were released pending further investigation.
