The haul was uncovered at an address on Hollies Drive on Thursday.

West Midlands Police arrested Klodian Ndoca, aged 31, and Arjan Nikollaj, 25, inside the property.

They appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court on Friday, charged with the production of cannabis.

The force values the average of cannabis plants at £1,000 each, however the value of this cannabis find is not yet known.

The plants were discovered across seven large rooms and a loft space.

A photograph, released by police, showed dozens of cannabis plants growing under artificial lights inside the building.

Wednesbury's police team tweeted: "Officers from @WednesburyWMP conducted a drugs warrant on a premises on Hollies Drive Wednesbury and uncovered 7 large rooms and a loft space was being used to cultivate cannabis. 2 suspects were arrested from the property and a total of 417 plants seized @CannabisTeamWMP"
