Three men arrested after attempted Audi theft in Rugeley

Three men have been arrested after the attempted theft of an Audi from a driveway in Rugeley.

Police were called to reports of three men attempting to steal an Audi from a driveway in Hill Street in the early hours of this morning.

A 42-year-old man and two 19-year-old men, all from the Birmingham area, were arrested after a vehicle was stopped in Rugeley Road, Armitage.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "Police have arrested three men on suspicion of attempted theft of a vehicle following an incident on Hill Street in Rugeley on November 12.

"Officers were called at 2am to reports that three men were attempting to steal an Audi from a driveway and had smashed the window to gain access to the vehicle.

"A 42-year-old and two 19-year-olds, all from Birmingham, were taken into custody after a vehicle was stopped on Rugeley Road in Armitage."

Anyone with information is asked to call Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 26 of November 12.
