Man stabbed during early-hours carjacking in Halesowen

A man was stabbed in a violent carjacking early this morning in the Black Country .

Two men, both in their 20s, were dragged from a Ford Focus by two other men, who stole the vehicle.

The terrifying robbery happened just before 1am on Stourbridge Road, Halesowen.

The one man suffered a stab wound to his hand while the other suffered a superficial injury to his arm.

The car was later recovered by police and enquires are ongoing to trace the suspects.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said: "Police were called to a carjacking in Stourbridge Road, Halesowen, just before 1am today.

"Two men in their 20s were dragged from a Ford Focus and assaulted by two others who made off with the vehicle.

"One of the men suffered a stab injury to his hand and the other a superficial injury to his arm."

Anyone with information is asked to call police quoting log number 80 of October 1.
