Man arrested over car which crashed after burglary released
A man arrested after a car crashed while fleeing the scene of a burglary has been released under investigation.
Police were called to a report of a burglary in progress at an address on Walsall Road, Great Wyrley, at around 1.10am.
Officers arrived and the suspects had made off in a white VW Golf which then collided with a wall, near to the Orbital island on Walsall Road, Cannock.
Four men were injured, two of them seriously, and taken to hospital for further treatment.
A 22-year-old man from Dudley, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and aggravated vehicle taking. He has since been released under investigation pending further inquiries.
Enquiries are ongoing, and any witnesses, or anyone with any information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 0065 of 15 September.
