Appeal to trace man wanted on suspicion of attempted murder

Police have launched an appeal to trace a man they are looking for in connection with a stabbing in Birmingham.

Abdirabi Mohamud, 18, is wanted in connection with the attack that took place in Coventry Road, in the Small Heath area, on February 18.

Mohamud is wanted on suspicion of attempted murder and West Midlands Police detectives have launched a media appeal as part of on-going efforts to trace him.

He is known to frequent the Small Heath, Bordesley, Handsworth and the city centre areas and has links to Liverpool and Manchester.

A spokesman for the force said: "If you know where Mohamud is staying, or have any other information regarding his current whereabouts please call 101 anytime.

"If seen, members of the public are advised not to approach Mohamud directly, and should call 999 instead."
