Bogus caller who stole £3k from Brierley Hill man, 87, still on the run

Police are still hunting a bogus caller who is believed to have stolen up to £2,000 from a pensioner in Brierley Hill.

The suspect was a woman who visited the 87-year-old man twice at his home on Saturday.

On the first visit the man gave her £30 but on the second visit she pushed him over before entering his house and stealing the cash.

West Midlands Police has launched an investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact police and quote the log number log number 1510 from August 10.
