Man charged over burglary at house in Wednesbury

A man has been charged with a number of offences including a burglary at a house in Wednesbury.

Craig Newitt, of Astbury Close in Bloxwich, was charged after officers investigated the break-in on Reservoir Passage on Friday.

The 39-year-old was charged with burglary, taking a motor vehicle without the owner's consent, theft and theft of a car.

He appeared at Walsall Magistrates' Court this morning, with the case sent for trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court on September 3.

A 46-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to burgle with intent to steal, has been released on police bail with strict conditions.
