Police called to altercation between two groups in Cannock Chase

Two large groups of people were involved in an altercation in Cannock Chase.

Police were called to deal with the disorder which took place on Marquis Drive at about 7.15pm last night.

Officers spoke to those involved about how they had been behaving and are now appealing for witnesses to come forward.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "Staffordshire Police officers are asking for people who may have witnessed some disorder between two groups of people on Cannock Chase last night to come forward.

"The incident took place at about 7.15pm on Marquis Drive and involved an altercation between two large groups of people.

"Local officers attended and spoke to a number of people who were involved and gave them advice about their behaviour."
