Bilston machete attack suspects released on bail

Three men arrested after a teenager was attacked with a machete have been bailed.

The 17-year-old boy suffered hand injuries when he was attacked near Bilston C of E Primary School on Wednesday, West Midlands Police said.

The boy was set upon by a group armed with a machete near Millfields Stores, around 100 metres away from the school in Coronation Road, at around 3pm.

When paramedics arrived the injured boy was not at the scene but he was later found around one mile away on Dean's Road.

The extent of his injuries are not yet known.

The three men arrested on suspicion of violent disorder have now been bailed pending further enquiries, police confirmed today.
