Staffordshire cocaine dealer jailed for three years

A man has been jailed for three years after drugs were found during a search at his property.

Jamie Lewis, aged 27, was sentenced at Stafford Crown Court to three years for the supply of cocaine and possession with intent to supply cannabis.

Lewis, of Stowe Street, Lichfield, received a further three months for breaching a suspended sentence order, totalling 39 months’ imprisonment. He pleaded guilty to the offences at an earlier hearing.

The defendant also admitted having no insurance and driving while under the influence of drugs, receiving a further seven-day sentence to be served concurrently.

He was disqualified from driving for four years eight months.

The court heard that a warrant was executed at his home address in November 2017 and cannabis found.

Lewis was stopped by officers in Horninglow Road, Burton, on February 9 this year and gave a positive drugs swipe.
