Dale Fellows was sentenced to 18 years in prison

Willenhall man Dale Fellows, aged 34, has been sentenced to 18 years in jail for the sexual attacks he carried out on two girls under the age of 13 between 2008 and 2017.

Fellows was convicted of 12 offences against one of the girls, which included rape, sexual assaults and attempted rape between 2016 and 2017.

He was also found guilty of three charges relating to sex attacks against the other victim, which took place between 2008 and 2015.

Fellows, of Rosehill Gardens, was arrested in 2017 and last week he was sent to prison at Wolverhampton Crown Court and placed on the Sex Offender Register for life.

West Midlands Police has praised the courage of the victims in coming forward and reporting the crimes committed by Fellows.

The girls recalled their experiences to specialist officers from the force's public protection unit who were then able to build a case against him.

Sergeant Vicky Kelleher, from West Midlands Police, said: "Without the courage of the victims in coming forward we would not have been able to bring Fellows to justice.

"Their bravery enabled us to fully investigate and ensure no-one else will have to suffer sexual abuse at his hands in future.

"The force has specialist officers to support victims and work tirelessly to ensure those responsible do not escape the full force of the law."
