Five more Walsall family feud members locked up
The Halls are the latest thugs from the same family to be jailed over violence in the borough.
Five family members have been jailed for their part in a violent family feud in Walsall.
The men, aged between 22 and 40, have been sentenced to a combined total of 14 years behind bars after a series of violent incidents last year - including an attack that left a teenager in hospital.
At Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday Malcolm Halls, Paul Halls, Dale Halls, Corey Durbin and Ryan Kent were all given jail terms of between eight months and six years for their parts in the violence that unfolded in July and October.
Pelsall Carnival violence
It comes after members of a rival family were sentenced last month for their part in disorder at Pelsall Carnival last year. James Betteley, Joshua Betteley, Robert Betteley, James Lawlor and Jack Beech all pleaded guilty to using threatening words and behaviour on July 8.
Three of the men sentenced this week - Malcolm, Paul and Dale Halls - were also banned from Pelsall earlier this year because of their part in last year’s carnival violence.
The Halls, along with 15 other men, were made subject to civil injunctions in June which mean they cannot contact members of the opposing family and their associates, be in possession of weapons or enter various exclusion zones in Walsall, including Pelsall.

And now the Halls have been locked up alongside Durbin and Kent for multiple incidents where homes and cars were damaged and threats were made.
Attack
The Halls were also sentenced for the attack on a 19-year-old man who was walking home.
The teenager was left with numerous injuries and while he was being treated in hospital the Halls smashed the windows at his home.
Malcolm and Paul Halls have previously been sentenced to 12 months in prison, which they have already served, for affray and criminal damage offences.
The sentences handed out on Friday were:
Malcolm Halls, aged 40, of Warner Road, Coalpool, was convicted of four counts of violent disorder and assault and sentenced to five years and 10 months in prison.
Paul Halls, 28, of Warner Road, Coalpool, was convicted of three counts of violent disorder and assault and sentenced to four years and six months in prison.
Dale Halls, 27, of Coalpool Road, Coalpool, was found guilty of violent disorder and assault and sentenced to three years in prison.
Corey Durbin, 22, of Ingram Road, Walsall, was found guilty of violent disorder and sentenced to eight months in prison.
Ryan Kent, 23, of Stoney Lane, Bloxwich, was convicted of violent disorder and sentenced to 15 months in prison.
Detective Inspector Chris Fox from West Midlands Police CID said: “I hope the outcome from court today offers some comfort to those who have been affected by these incidents.
“There are no excuses for such mindless actions. Substantial damage and fear has been caused by these individuals, two of whom had already been to prison for similar offences.
“The man who was subjected to the assault suffered an extremely upsetting and traumatic ordeal, and had nothing to do with the feud at all.
“I’m also very aware of the concerns raised by members of the community who are fearful of the ongoing conflict between these families.
“My team continue to ruthlessly pursue those causing harm in our communities through the criminal justice system."
Rival family
Last month, the following men were sentenced after pleading guilty to using threatening words and behaviour at Pelsall Carnival:
James Betteley, 20, of Parker Street, Walsall, was given a 12-month community order and 80 hours of unpaid work.
Joshua Betteley, 22, of Sussex Avenue, Aldridge was given a conditional discharge for 12 months.
Robert Betteley, 29, of Wolverhampton Road, Bloxwich, was given a 12-month community order, 100 hours of unpaid work and a £250 fine after admitting also scratching a police officer.
Jack Beech, 25 of Swanside Court, Lindon Close, was given a 12-month community order and 80 hours of unpaid work.
James Lawlor, 49, of Moorland Road, Bloxwich, was given a conditional discharge for 12 months.
James Betteley, Joshua Betteley, Robert Betteley are also subject to interim civil injunctions.
Another member of the family, 22-year-old Matthew Betteley, along with 27-year-old Stephen Page, 27, pleaded guilty to separate charges of affray and criminal damage after throwing a brick through a window of the home of an elderly woman.
Matthew Betteley was given a 12-month community order and ordered to undertake 50 hours of unpaid work, while Page was locked up for 26 months after admitting a range of other offences.
At the same hearing, 29-year-old Scott Bannister, of Bloxwich Lane, Walsall, pleaded guilty to assault by beating and was given a 12-month community order and 80 hours of unpaid work. Bannister, who is to understood to be on the Halls family side of the feud, is also subject to a civil injunction.
Chief Superintendent Andy Parsons, from Walsall Police, said: “We continue to enforce the terms of the injunctions which were granted in June and where individuals fail to adhere to the conditions they are arrested.
“They are a powerful tool to help disrupt anti-social activity.
“We still need your help, we need you to continue to act as our eyes and ears and inform us of any breaches. We’ve put lots of posters up in the local areas so you know their conditions and I’d ask that you let us know if they are seen breaking the terms of their injunctions."
