Food group plea to help feed the nation

A food group with its headquarters in Birmingham has issued a plea to find new workers to step up production for supermarkets and help feed the nation.

Two Sisters Food Group specialises in chicken, ready meals and biscuits for tens of millions of people a week.

Two Sisters, which has chicken processing factories in West Bromwich and Wolverhampton, needs to fill both factory and logistics positions.

As one of the UK’s leading food manufacturers it provides around 150 million meals a week to the nation.

It has 24 factories around the UK and employs more than 18,000.

Chairman Ronald Kers said: "Our job is literally to feed the nation. Getting food to people has never been so important. As we come together as a country to fight the coronavirus we we need your help to keep our factories running."

One of the posts it is currently recruiting for is a supply chain manager for its Amber Foods site in West Bromwich that produces poultry products for the biggest UK retailers.
