Fancy a job at Wetherspoons? 100 roles up for grabs at new pub

Pub chain JD Wetherspoon is looking to recruit 100 people for its new pub in Kingswinford.

The Cross Inn in High Street is due to open on April 21 after undergoing a major refurbishment.

The £2.6 million revamp of the premises began in September and is forging ahead.

Wetherspoon is now working with Dudley Jobcentre on finding people from the area to fill the front of house and kitchen jobs.

Eddie Gershon, spokesman for Wetherspoon, said: “We are confident that the new-look pub will prove popular with customers of all ages and be an asset to the town.

“Hopefully it will also act as a catalyst for other businesses to invest in the area.”

The Cross was bought from Greene King.

Meanwhile, Wolverhampton will become home to the national museum for Wetherspoons.

JD Wetherspoon plans to the transform The Moon Under Water pub in Lichfield Street creating 50 jobs.

It also included a 90-bed hotel.
