Construction work began on the designer outlet in 2018, with the £160 million centre due to open in autumn 2020.

Now developers have released a series of images snapped high from the sky, showing how work is progressing.

The vast majority of steelwork and building structures are now complete, with work to add facades and roofs ongoing.

The outlet’s car parking is now underway, as well as improvement works to the local nature reserve.

Internal fitting out is due to commence early next year as the designer outlet progresses towards completion.

Drivers in Cannock have faced almost a year of delays and diversions as a result of roadworks linked to the development.

Roads are being widened and new access routes for the outlet are being built in a bid to reduce congestion when the shopping centre opens.

How the finished project is expected to look

Gary Bond, managing director of development at McArthurGlen, said: “Works at the site are progressing really well and we’re looking forward to opening during autumn 2020.

"I would like to thank neighbours and the wider community for their patience during the works to date and I hope people enjoy seeing how things have progressed with these eye-in-the-sky aerial images.”
