Central Electrical Distributors Ltd has moved into Unit C at Key Industrial Park on Fernside Road, Willenhall.

About 10 staff are now employed at this base, with another 24 working at the company’s units in Cannock and Aston, and more branches set to follow in early 2020.

The company, which trades as CED, stocks over 10,000 electrical products for sale to the trade and public, and has access to more than another million products from 800 manufacturers.

James Bird, a senior associate at Bulleys which arranged the deal, said: “It’s exciting to be working with a new company that is creating dozens of jobs across the Midlands.

“We’ve enjoyed helping the company to find the best location in Wolverhampton for its expansion plans and now look forward to watching its continued growth and success.”

Mike McHale, managing director of CED, said: “Bulleys was really useful in helping us to look for a unit in Wolverhampton, as location is a key element in what we are about.

“James Bird was particularly friendly, flexible and responsive, getting out there with short lead times to help us view various places.

“We’re really happy with the unit that James helped us to choose, as this was exactly where we wanted to be.

“We especially like the fact that Screwfix are our neighbours, as we can demonstrate our extensive knowledge over our competitors.”

Other well-known occupiers at Key Industrial Park include Howdens Joinery, DAF Trucks, Euro Garages, Toolstation and Greggs.

Bulleys negotiated the letting of the 10,008 sq ft unit off an asking rent of £60,000 per annum.

Mr McHale has more than 27 years of experience in the electrical distribution sector, with senior management roles at Rexel, Edmundson Electrical and Newey & Eyre.

He launched CED with fellow directors Rachel Bennett, Lee Robinson and Daryll Haynes.

Mr McHale added: “We have an experienced team here at CED, and the unique element of what we do is our staff, who are fully committed to the company mantra of ensuring that customers’ expectations are delivered.”
