Man seriously injured after being hit by car on A5

A man was seriously injured when he was hit by a car on the A5.

The crash happened on the A5, near to the Crown Pub.

The pedestrian was injured when the crash happened at around 5.30pm yesterday on the busy road in Brownhills, Walsall, near the Crown Pub.

The man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We were called just after 5.30pm to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian.

"One ambulance attended the scene and treated one man who suffered serious injuries. He was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment."
