Party-goers packed themselves into The Hangar where they played games, drank and danced on benches until the early hours.

"We always get a sell-out crowd for Bongo's Bingo events and we did the New Year's countdown.

"Everyone was cheering and we had flashing lights – we were wishing everyone a 'Happy New Year'.

"It was a really good atmosphere in there."

Bongo's Bingo started in Liverpool and has since taken over 42 cities across the globe, with Wolverhampton one of its stops on New Year's Eve.

The party-goers played a number of games of bingo to win alcohol and cash prizes while partying throughout.

And members of the crowd got dressed up for the special occasion wearing tiaras and Christmas novelty glasses.

The spokesman added: "Everyone was dressed up and we have such a diverse venue.

"We've got such a diverse amount of people coming in from all different races and ages – all the way up to 70.

"It's just a good mix of people, a great crowd and a good atmosphere.

"The Hangar is one of the main places in Wolverhampton to get that 'arena effect' too."
