Wolverhampton schoolboy Taylor makes his movie debut, age nine
A star-in-the-making has made his movie debut at the tender age of nine in a film that has already won a clutch of awards.
Wolverhampton schoolboy Taylor Simner appears in Into the Mirror as Young Daniel in childhood flashbacks of lead actor Jamie Bacon.
The film showcased at film festivals across the UK and America, where it has won seven awards, is released in cinemas and on Amazon Prime in this country today(FRI22) following its release in the USA in the summer.
The youngster attended the premiere at a red carpet event in London's Leicester Square on Wednesday night ahead of the UK release.
His mother Jade Lockley Morris said: "He's taking it all in his stride."
Taylor has already spent more than half of his young life in front of the cameras after being spotted by photographer for modelling work when he was three.
He has previously performed in Oliver at Dormston Theatre, Sedgley, with Starstruck Theatre Company and appeared in a video for Wolverhampton-based singer/songwriter Ryan Evans.
Jade, 30, said: "The film is just over an hour long and although Taylor doesn't have any lines, he's on screen for 15 to 20 minutes, which is quite a long time.
"He plays a boy who is having difficulties with his father and a lot of the shots were filmed on the beach in Dorset where he plays with his screen mom in the sand. He absolutely loved it."
It's a busy month for the upcoming star who is also performing in A Christmas Carol at The Alexandra Theatre, Birmingham, next week(26th - 30th).
And in February, he will be taking part in London Fashion Week’s House of Ikons for Athea Couture.
But there is no talk of his extra-curricular activities at Warstones Primary School, Wolverhampton, which he attends. "He's very humble," said his mum. "He's not even mentioned it – if it was me I'd be shouting about it."
