Lichfield ready for night of comedy

Some of the top names in British stand-up comedy will be taking to the stage in Lichfield.

The George Hotel will be the venue for a Funhouse Comedy evening and will see a mixture of comedic styles on show.

The how will be headlined by 2013 BBC Radio New Comedy Award winner Steve Bujega, who has supported Russell Kane on tour and also contributed as a comedy writer to shows such as Mock the Week, 8 out of 10 Cats and Russell Howard's Good News".

Jo Caulfield is a veteran of the British comedy scene

He will be supported by veteran performer Jo Caulfield, whose witty and sharply observational humour has seen her appear on shows such as Have I Got News For You and Never Mind the Buzzcocks and develop a reputation for her work on radio and as a warm-up for TV shows.

The line-up will be completed by 2017 BBC New Comedy Award finalist Jacob Hawley, who brings forward an informal and factual style, and compere Sully O'Sullivan, who possesses a sharp ire and playfulness.

The show takes place on Thursday, February 6 at the George Hotel, Bird Street, Lichfield.
