The band have been announced as a headline act for Forest Live – an annual trio of shows at the Staffordshire beauty spot.

The gig will take place on June 19 2020, with support from Australian band Confidence Man.

Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds first emerged in 2011, with their eponymous album going double platinum in the UK and selling more than 2.5 million copies worldwide.

Chasing Yesterday and Who Built The Moon? followed, making it a hat-trick of number one albums.

Noel has sold more than 70 million records throughout his career, including Oasis' albums Definitely Maybe and What's The Story Morning Glory?

His new single, Wandering Star, is taken from the Blue Moon Rising EP, to be released in March.

At Forest Live, Noel and his 11-piece band will perform tracks from his new series of EPs and from the Gallagher back catalogue.

Tickets will be available from the Forestry England box office on 03000 680400 or online by visiting www.forestryengland.uk/music.

Meanwhile Keane will play Cannock Chase on June 20 and Will Young and Jame Morrison will co-headline on June 21.
