Dreams Like Drugs is out tomorrow, February 14, and is taken from the EP that made it into our albums of the year list for 2019 after coming out in the autumn.

It is still available in physical format on CD from their website www.lionsofdissent.co.uk/shop and on all digital platforms, as well as being available to be streamed on their Spotify page.

More coverage:

It's the five-piece's follow-up to Dopamine Scream and comes out on the former Star Unsigned column act's Lion Rebel Recordings on 14 imprint.

The song is described by lead singer and songwriter Tim Baker, also one half of the creative force behind Wolverhampton clothing collective true Reverie with his wife Lindsay, as "an exploration of the subconscious through the different worlds our minds and thoughts inhabit”.

The song comes with one of the band's usual psychedelic trips of a music video, which is available to view on their YouTube channel.

Baker continued: "Having already cannonballed itself around the globe via radio play in both Europe and South America, Dreams Like Drugs has also received the prestigious accolade of being awarded Record of the Week by BBC Introducing in Shropshire, the third consecutive Lions single to have this honour bestowed upon it.

"The video is directed and edited by the group’s art director Sister Minor. With the seconds it takes to drift into sleep, the viewer is propelled on a surreal journey through a kaleidoscopic dreamscape, where senses are heightened and the landscape reveals its alter ego, a hyper-colourful enchantment which dances under the rays of a different sun."

The band have also promised that some live dates will be announced soon. To catch these as soon as they are revealed, follow them on Twitter and Facebook, both @lionsofdissent
