Staffordshire band needed for video project
Filmmakers from Staffordshire University are searching for a band to star in an interactive music video.
The Interactive Filmmaking Lab are creating a new virtual reality music video and want an indie rock or alternative music band from Staffordshire to take part.
The successful band will perform their original music with direction from the university’s researchers while being video-recorded and photographed over the course of one or two days then provide feedback on their experience. The research group explores how new technologies including 360 degree cameras, virtual reality (VR), motion capture and neurocinematics can be used to revolutionise how we watch and interact with films.
Dr Polina Zioga, who is leading the project, said: “We are very excited to launch our new project and call for participants. Through our study, we will look at the use of interactive technologies for the production of music videos.
"Our aim is to find out what are the technological and creative opportunities and challenges.”
All participants must be over the age of 18. To apply, email firstname.lastname@example.org
