The 24-year-old’s new single is Flying With Owls, featuring plenty of his home city’s landmarks to spot as the rapper performs in front of the likes of St Peter’s Collegiate Church and Queen Square, before he heads down to Fargo Village in Coventry for later scenes.

It was filmed by TadasFilm of Coventry, while production on the track was carried out by DNA Music.

It’s been a busy year of singles for Zealous. Following Blue Rain and Numb, amid some other side projects and special releases, Spaced was released alongside a music video in June, and Potionz dropped soon after.

The latest, Flying With Owls, mixes “his rapid fire lyricism effortlessly with a smooth production from DNA Music, AKA Ashley Thomas”.

“I was just flicking through some of Ashley’s beats and came across this one, it’s quite simple but effective and gets your body moving,” Zealous continues. “So I just began writing and ended up rapping twice and maybe three times faster than the actual beat. But it made sense and fit because I was catching the right pockets.”

The track was recorded in Wolverhampton at the Beatsabar studio at his home city’s Newhampton Arts Centre - engineered, mixed and mastered by Keith ‘Spock’ Dilworth.

The track references topics such as chasing dreams or a love interest, the troubles facing the current generation.

When asked what the future holds for him, he added: “I’m gonna keep going crazy as usual. I can’t stop, I won’t stop.

“I dedicated everything to this and in 2020 you can expect another project dropping from me. But for now, this is gonna change your whole perspective of me as an artist.”
