Stourbridge's Shaun Kelly releases Christmas single

Stourbridge singer-songwriter Shaun Kelly and his aptly named band The Returned Gifts have released their very own Christmas single.

The track, called Christmas Song, was released on December 2 and is available to hear via their Soundcloud page alongside all their previous material.

Kelly has been around a bit, being asked to collaborate with Andy Taylor of Duran Duran to providing the musical entertainment for his sister-in-law’s night of hosting on Channel 4’s hit reality food show Come Dine with Me. She won by the way, which Kelly is sure to put down to his entertainment rather than her food.

His latest collective of musicians emerged from the ashes of the indie B-town scene. The band have been collaborating on new sounds that mix elements of West Coast guitar pop with classic British melodies.

Their debut single Debt Of Silence made single of the week on the James Whale Radio Show, while their music has also been featured in the BBC TV series Civilisations.

Their debut LP The Boy On The Bench was released in 2018 is out now and has been highly praised in the UK music press.
