Miss Black Country joins festival celebrations amid busy programme of events
Celebrations are being held all across the region in the run up to Black Country Day on July 14.
And the former Miss Black Country, Alexandra Darby, is among those flying the flag as the countdown to the big day begins.
The singer and charity worker took time out of her busy campaign to become the next Miss England and joined locals and businesses to show her support.
She met Black Country Festival organiser Dave Brownhill, as well as other volunteers, in the centre of Dudley and proudly waved the Black Country flag while posing in a classic Jaguar.

Alexandra said: “What a wonderful day! Just a normal day hanging out in a Jaguar as Miss Black Country in the middle of town.
“It’s going to be an amazing day of entertainment and celebrating the wonderful Black Country on Black Country Day.
“I’m so excited and I’m proud to be part of this wonderful community.
“I hope everyone can get involved with all the events and celebrations on offer this month.”
Black Country Day is on July 14 but the festival overall runs until the end of the month – with at least one event held every day.
Tonight there will be a comedy night, Kum-n-avaloff, at Stourbridge Town Hall from 8pm to 10.30pm and tomorrow night Elvis fans can enjoy an Elvis Presley tribute night with a performance from Elvis Legacy, Mark Summers and the Memphis Sons at Brierley Hill Civic Hall. Doors open at 8pm with the performance beginning at 9pm.
And this weekend is packed full of events – from the Birmingham Black Country Half Marathon, Halesowen Carnival, and Netherton Park Fun Day.
