Conor Coady calls for quick response from Wolves

Skipper Conor Coady insists Wolves were handed a lesson on Premier League life by Watford – and the focus is on providing an immediate response.

Two goals within a minute saw the Hornets inflict the first home loss of the campaign for Coady and Co.

Roberto Pereyra raced through and punished the Wolves backline for switching off following Etienne Capoue's opener on Saturday.

"Every team is very, very good in the Premier League. It's as simple as that," said Coady.

"Each and every week, the Premier League is such a tough division.

"If you're off the money, even for a little bit, they'll get at you and punish you.

"Watford are a very, very good side. That spell in the first half where they scored the two goals, we weren't good enough – close enough to players or pressing like we usually do.

"You're going to get hurt if you're not at the races – and we weren't at the races in the first half.

"If we play like that, we'll concede goals."

Now Wolves' attention turns to the clash at Brighton this weekend.

Coady has urged his fellow team-mates to listen to Nuno Espirito Santo's instructions 'as much as possible' in training this week, to give themselves the best chance of learning from the mistakes they made against Javi Gracia's outfit.

"The most important thing is we learn from it and work hard this week – even harder than last week," he said.

"We've got to put a lot of things right now because that first half wasn't good enough from our point of view.

"It's the second goal that killed us, really. We've got to manage the game better.

"It's not like us at all. We usually manage the game quite well.

"They say you're at your most vulnerable when you've just conceded, and we were.

"It's disappointing and we've got to learn quickly. We need a reaction.

"We've got to learn this week, listen to the manager as much as possible, and hopefully get better.

"We've got to listen and learn as much as possible."

Coady added: "We've been beaten in a game of football. It's not something you like, but it happens.

"It's happened to us now and we've got to show a reaction at Brighton. It's a huge game for us."
