Club captain Rory Schlein was joined by management members Peter Adams and Chris Van Straaten at the base of main team sponsor Parrys International.

The multiple award-winning coach holiday company staged their 20th open day – and it turned out to be their most successful yet.

Owner Dave Parry said: “In terms of bookings we sold over a quarter-of-a-million pounds worth of holidays with just under 2,000 people attending the event.

“We also raised around £450 for St Giles Hospice and it was good to see a really good turnout of speedway fans once again.”

Wolves have also confirmed some key dates for the front end of their calendar. They will host their press and practice session on Monday, March 23 with the media session expected to start at 5.30pm followed by track action from 7pm.

And the following evening the full team and management will meet the fans at the ever-popular pre-season talk-in. This event will once again be held at the Cleveland Arms Sports Pub on Stow Heath Lane close to Monmore from 7.30pm.

Their season will start on Monday, March 30 with their first official fixture on Monday, April 6.
