Wolverhampton have revealed the first six names who will ride in the NGK Spark Plugs Olympique next month.

Adam Skornicki

The event’s 2009 title winner Nicolai Klindt, three-time British Champion Chris Harris, Australian International Nick Morris and former Cradley man Steve Worrall have now been confirmed with Pole Mateusz Tonder, recommended by Wolves legend Adam Skornicki, and American Luke Becker looking to put themselves in the shop window for a team place in Britain next season.

The popular individual meeting makes a return to the calendar on Monday, October 15 (7.30pm) at Monmore Green.

Promoter Chris Van Straaten: “The Olympique always proves to be a popular meeting and it’s great that we’ve been able to bring it back this year with a huge thanks going to NGK Spark Plugs.

“As ever we’re assembling a competitive field and with the unique handicap system that’s used, it’s always an entertaining meeting no matter what.

“We’re looking forward to having the Olympique back at Monmore Green, and of course there’ll be the usual spectacular firework display as well.”

Wolverhampton will also host their annual Winter Talk-In at the Cleveland Arms Sports Pub on Monday, October 22 (8pm) where club bosses are gearing up for a ‘frank discussion’ regarding the 2018/19 seasons.
