Hot-shot Hickman hits the goal trail as Sporting ease through

Stuart Hickman was the main man as Sporting Club powered their way through to the next round of the Dudley Guest Hospital Charity Cup.

Hot-shot Hickman hit the net four times to help fire the Kidderminster League Division One side to a 7-2 success against Division Two outfit Dudley Sports.

Sporting had the game wrapped by half-time after establishing a 4-1 lead. Luke Porter, Matthew Pearson and Aaron Bishop added to Hickman’s haul. Carl Whyte and Ben Dean scored for Sports.

The Division One match up between Britannia United and Station Inn proved to be a keenly-contested affair.

In the end, it was Britannia who edged through, 2-1, thanks to goals from Ray Miller and Corey Rogers. Thomas Connelly replied.

First Division boys Cross Oldswinford caused an upset by downing Premier outfit Club Inter.

Ryan Hutton, James Russell and Josh Thomas bagged the goals that secured a 3-1 victory.

Pockets and Netherton are also through to the next round following respective 7-2 and 4-0 victories over Wombourne Wanderers and Wordsley.
